Our Client established over a Hundred years ago is one of the largest independent insurance brokers in the Home Counties, providing commercial and personal insurance and risk management advice.
They are looking for an account handler to assist the director.

Assist in the acquisition of New Business, retaining renewals and servicing clients additional requirements on SME, and mid net worth personal
Hours
Monday – Thursday 8.30am – 5pm & Friday 8.30 am – 4.30 pm
Areas of Responsibility
- New business development and cross selling
- Manage client/insurer instructions & documentation
- Manage renewals
Main Tasks
Carry out the following tasks within the agreed company performance standards:
- Deal with incoming calls from insurers and clients
- Deal with incoming post, faxes and email
- Deal with system activities on a daily basis chasing insurers and clients where appropriate.
- Communicate queries, instructions and changes between clients and insurers
- Obtain quotations as required for prospects & clients
- Manage & maintain information and documentation for prospects and clients
- Prepare renewal schedules and registers
- Effectively manage renewals
- Discuss any queries with a Director.
- Liaise with other members of staff on matters not handled on a regular basis by you.
- In addition, the job holder is required to perform other duties assigned by the Directors from time to time as required by the needs of the business
Key Skills
- Previous experience in insurance (household and motor)
- The ability to manually quote for policies
- Experience in dealing with commercial would be desirable
- High net worth experience is desirable
Salary: £20- £25k + benefits dependent on experience.
