ICT Sales Group Leader: Education Sector OXON. Basic to £38k + Comm (33%)

Our Client is the UK's leading supplier of ICT to educational institutions from primary schools to colleges and universities. They design and implement innovative software and hardware solutions while also providing ongoing system support. They are looking for an experienced Sales Group Leader
You would be expected manage and lead a high performing internal sales team, covering reactive and proactive sales within your teams. Capable of consistently meeting and exceeding team order intake and margin targets as well as productivity targets, while building customer satisfaction. To implement productivity improvements and increase revenue per head by removing barriers to sales and reducing costs. Developing and up-skilling team members, from junior sales to aspiring sales team leaders.
The Internal Sales teams is responsible for the significant majority of the Company business - managing accounts, identifying prospects and co-ordinating resource to develop relationships and close business. They will work across the complete portfolio of product solutions and services handling activity of significant order values.
Main Responsibilities
Team Management –
- Lead, manage, and organise a team of internal account managers to achieve order, product targets and productivity targets
- Set clear, measurable and achievable targets and objectives
- Monitor and manage performance through monthly 1:1 meetings, team meetings, appraisals and coaching sessions
- Support and manage individual skill, knowledge and experience development requirements
- Monitor and manage individual and team pipeline to support order intake, value add services and strategic product plans
- Recruit high calibre internal sales staff
- Create and instil effective working practises between internal and field sales teams to maximise revenue
Development and Training
- Use 1:1s, coaching sessions and team workshops to identify development and training needs
- Identify, create and agree team and individual development plans (skills, knowledge, experience and process)
- Monitor and manage team and individual development objectives
- Support and input to Internal Sales training requirements
Productivity -
- Manage the team within operational business plan parameters and policies
- Utilise and embed the use of KPIs to improve team and individual effectiveness
- Identify and deliver productivity improvements with peers, team and individuals
- Embed the use of rm.com as a channel to market
- Escalation point for team
Reporting
· Produce and carry out accurate and timely monthly forecasts with team and individuals
· Produce and carry out accurate and timely monthly forecasts to Head of Sales
· Use data to analyse and address team or individual shortfalls in orders and Productivity
· Use data to analyse and identify market trends to inform peer, team or individual sales campaigns and activities
Customer Satisfaction -
· Support and embed the Company Customer Care strategy and policies
· Monitor and manage customer satisfaction ratings
· Escalation point for customer care issues for team
Knowledge Skills and Experience
· Education (degree calibre or equivalent).
· Successful sales track record (internal/field)
· Management experience (direct/matrix/virtual)
· Understanding of business and marketing concepts
· Understanding of factors and issues affecting Primary, Secondary, Further and Higher Education
· Understanding of ICT product portfolio (products, goods and services)
· Understanding of company systems and reporting requirements.
· Presentation skills
· Coaching and mentoring skills
· Confidence in the use of IT for business purposes
· Commitment to customer care
