Estimator

Part Time £20,000-£25,000 pro rata

Our client is a prestigious Building Service & Maintenance company in Wokingham Berkshire.

They are requiring an experienced mature Estimator with a construction background. Must have working knowledge of commercial & industrial installation. People skills, initiative as will be working on own, forward vision, academic, computer literate as will be using Word Excel Advantage.

Must hold a CSCS CARD

Typical work activities include:

Detailing all the materials necessary for the contract to achieve specification;

Estimating the cost of plant and equipment; Do quotes and get quotations from relevant sources.

A prediction of the likely progress and completion rate of the project must be calculated, bearing in mind bonus payments and subcontractual arrangements;

Calculating a final figure for the estimated cost, supplemented by adjustments for overheads and profit, and presenting a tender price;

(As and when contracts are won) monitoring and storing costs through the use of computers to improve the accuracy of future pricing 

Estimating is office and field based, because of the need to meet demanding deadlines. Travel to clients' premises will be required must have clean driving license and own car (petrol paid)
