Customer Service / Sales Manager - £20,000 to £30,000 plus bonus + benefits East Sussex

Our Client is one of the largest independent manufacturers of corrugated cases in Southern England. Established in 1985 they started manufacturing in 1989 to service local customers. They are currently looking for a Customer Service / Sales manager (CSM) based out of their Uckfield office.
The successful candidate will be a customer focused, hands on, results driven leader with exceptional team performance management and client relationship management experience. You will be responsible for ensuring that your team provide excellent customer service is achieved throughout the sales process and that the external sales people are supported.
Role:
• To review your Client service teams performances and follow through any remedial actions,
• Setting team objectives
• Staff motivation, training and development
• Swiftly resolve problems with clients
• To take the lead in all aspects of the internal customer service and sales function
• To ensure that the team deals with telephone, faxed, e-mailed, written enquiries quickly and accurately
• Ensure that the team accurately processes and fulfils sales orders.
• Ensure that the team maintains good working relationships with its customers and sees long-term customer retention as a priority
• Ensure that the external sales personnel are kept informed on a daily basis of developments
• To delegate sales administration type work where possible in order to allow time for the CSM to identify projects aimed at developing new or more efficient business processes.
• To identify and implement improvements to the sales /fulfilment function
• To keep the sales director and the external sales team fully informed of ongoing personnel, product situations or any event, which is going to prevent a high level of customer service from being maintained
• In addition to these responsibilities the CSM must work to ensure that the team functions smoothly and harmoniously
• Represent the company at all times with professionalism and integrity
The Candidate:
• Previous similar experience essential: export sales support function
• Sales development experience ideally
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Supervision / management skills
• Be goal driven and resourceful
• Demonstrate leadership skills
• Ability to keep ahead of market conditions and developments
• Show personal responsibility/accountability
• Strong administrative and reporting skills
• Demonstrate new business development skills
