Job Description
Manufacturing of Corrugated cases is a busy, time critical process which requires hardworking, reliable individuals. You will be required to run assigned machines which operate and produce various styles of boxes. You may also be required to assist on other machines during busy periods. The position also requires a substantial amount of manual handling you will need to be fit and have good health & safety awareness.
Objective: To operate machines safely and efficiently to produce high quality goods, adhering to set standards and company policies.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Able to set and operate machine to target level
- Run machine unsupervised
- Basic maintenance knowledge/ skills
- Notify supervisor/manager of any faults or concerns
- Able to identify correct board grades
- Print pallet labels using computer programme
- Complete works orders legibly & use shop floor data
- Operate pallet jacks and other production equipment
- Participate in production operations ensuring factory is clean, safe and in orderly condition
- Assist with other duties or machine operation when necessary
Health & Safety
- Adhere to all health & safety regulations and company policy at all times
- Report any accidents or issues regarding health & safety appropriately
- Ensure all Risk Assessments & safe systems at work read, understood, signed and followed
- Observe & follow all manual handling practices
Perform miscellaneous job related duties as assigned and when necessary
Responsible to: Warehouse Manager
Hours: 7am – 4.25pm Mon – Thurs 7am – 12.15pm Friday
Salary: £14,000 - £15,000
Holidays: (28 days) including bank holidays – (5 days to be taken at Christmas due to company closure.)

- Basic reading & writing skills
- Must have a good understanding of Health & safety issues

- Sufficient level of physical fitness to lift carry and use a range of tools
- Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
Desirable Skills
- Production or Manufacturing experience
- Forklift experience/licence
- Previous machine operation experience
- Ability to participate in overtime when required
