Our Client is one of the largest and most successful distributors of premium branded cycle parts and accessories in the UK. With over 50 leading brands in our portfolio and sole distribution of 35 brands, our products have helped drive outstanding levels of growth in recent years. Their Company is developing in line with the general interest in cycling and recent performance reflects this. In 2006 their annual turnover was £15 million and in 2009 we are on budget to achieve £24.5 million and are well positioned to take advantage of market opportunities going forward.
The Company continues to grow rapidly; and they are now looking for an Outbound Telesales Account Manager.
The Role
The Outward Bound Telesales Account Manager will be instrumental in supporting the achievement of company sales targets by pro-actively selling products to existing customers. This person will be responsible for growing, developing and nurturing customer accounts.
This role will work closely with the Territory Account Managers, Head of Customer Service and the internal sales force.
Key Responsibilities:
Planning
· Working from daily and weekly call sheets prioritising and making all allocated outgoing calls to a customer base of approx 250.
· Prioritising to achieve daily productivity targets.
· Be flexible and adaptable with planning to take advantage of all business opportunities
· Grow Accounts through strong and effective communication of Brand opportunities
· Report Sales Activity to Sales Operating Manager Director/ Sales Director
Results Orientated
· Reach the goals and defined targets set by the Head Of Customer Services / Sales Director
· Have a strong attitude towards ‘Proactive Selling’ when making all outgoing calls.
· Ensure that each Territory is maximising potential through close liaison with External Territory Account Managers.
· Participate in sales briefings and any sales training that may be required to understand the wider company goals and strategy.
· Maintain good product, market and customer knowledge to enhance selling abilities
· Attend relevant trade shows and events.
· Instore Brand Representation
Analysis
· Take responsibility and ownership for the growth of the accounts YOY.
· Understand and respond accordingly to patterns of each brand in terms of decline and growth.
Initiative
· Seize opportunities to enhance business
· Be creative to overcome challenges
Knowledge/Skills and Experience
· Relevant experiences in telesales and customer service are essential including a strong track in outbound telesales in a call centre environment
· Experience of the bike industry is preferred although we will consider applicants who have a passion and knowledge of the bike / outdoor industry.
